Aga Khan University is the most prestigious medical college in Pakistan. Its entry test does not rely on memorization but on pure concept application.

The Syllabus Difference

AKU follows the HSSC/A-Level syllabus but the questions are modeled after SAT II (Subject Tests).

  • Science Reasoning: Questions are often experimental. You are given data/graphs and asked to interpret them.
  • Math: Yes, AKU has a math section! It covers basic Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry.

English Section

Unlike MDCAT's grammar rules, AKU English focuses on reading comprehension and vocabulary in context. It is significantly harder.

Key Advice:

Do not use MDCAT books for AKU. solve SAT II books (Barron's or Princeton Review) for Physics and Chemistry.
